File extension opd information

The file extension .OPD is used to refer to two different file extensions. These are Durango Interferometry Software and the OmniPage Documents. Durango refers to the Universal Interferometry Software that is used to acquire study, assess and substitute import-export and replication of data. The Durango software is usually available as a free download used in the examination of sample data files. The software also helps users in the creation of personal synthetic data files. Nonetheless, in order for the user to acquire fresh data with their own interferometer, they need a data acquisition license and key.
Documents that may be created with OmniPage scanning, OCR and page creation software may contain in them images, text and even page layout information. These documents are then saved in what can be termed as a proprietary format. OCR, which stands for Optical Character Recognition, is what allows a user to scan paper information that had been lost in the hard drive back into the computer. These formats may only be opened with OmniPage and OmniPage Professional software. OmniPage software was initially developed by the ScanSoft Company which later became part of the Nuance Communications Company.
